Omeruo Ready For Liverpool Clash

Kenneth Omeruo

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is ready for a morale-boosting League Cup win over Liverpool in tonight’s third round clash after the Reds were left deflated by a 3-1 defeat at West Ham over the weekend.
Middlesbrough with Omeruo playing in the heart of defence has already enjoyed comfortable wins over Oldham and Preston in this competition and will travel to Merseyside in good heart following a hat-trick of league victories.
“The most important thing is that we keep going in this way and win games,” Karanka told the club website.
“We have won three in a row now, we have another on Tuesday and we have to keep looking at the following game.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool coach Bredan Rodgers has not found cups to his liking having failed to progress beyond the last 16 of any knockout competition.
At the Britannia stadium, Victor Moses is expected to be in action for Stoke City when they face Sunderland. The Chelsea loanee was disgusted the Potters failed to celebrate back-to-back league away wins for only the second time since 2008.
“Hard fought result for us shame not to win but lads played well and fans were amazing” Moses tweeted after the game.
