Wyatt Family clatter Daniel Bryan and CM Punk on WWE Smackdown

Family values: The Wyatts like to beat up their foes
CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and friends were under attack on Monday Night Raw - until they were aided by a masked marvel.

Punk and Bryan teamed up with Goldust, Cody Rhodes and the Uso brothers in Nashville to defeat The Wyatt Family and The Shield in a high-octane, 12-man, tag-team main event, with the Second City Saint securing his squad victory by pinning Dean Ambrose.
However, the vanquished six administered a post-match beatdown on their conquerors and were ably assisted by the Real Americans - who had earlier defeated The Miz and Kofi Kingston after the Awesome One left his partner to fend alone.

But as the party of fan favourites were becoming overpowered, Rey Mysterio - absent from the ring since March due a knee ailment - rushed to the squared circle, hit Luke Harper and Jack Swagger with a double 619, and saved Punk and Bryan's brood.
Elsewhere on "Raw Country", Triple H and Stephanie McMahon bemoaned the fact that Kane, Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero were not singing the same tune in their absence last week and placed the latter two in singles matches.
Raw general manager Maddox was annihilated by WWE Champion Randy Orton, while Smackdown counterpart Guerrero was swiftly quashed by Divas Champion AJ Lee, courtesy of her opponent's Black Widow submission manoeuvre.

Guitar

There was a melodic theme throughout Monday's Raw, though, as 3MB - competing under the pseudonym The Rhinestone Cowboys - lost to R-Truth and debuting grappler Xavier Woods, and a Divas game of musical chairs descended into a fracas.
Plus, Dolph Ziggler bested Damien Sandow in a Broadway Brawl, in which the Show-Off was chucked through a keyboard and into a bass fiddle and the Duke of Decency became stuck inside a drum and whacked by a guitar.
Big Show won the battle of the behemoths by knocking off Ryback - before flattening Orton with a spear as the World's Largest Athlete's Survivor Series opponent tried to strike.
Alberto Del Rio will fight John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship this weekend, but, just days after assaulting the Cenation Leader on Smackdown, the Mexican Aristocrat was unable to further punish his foe in Tennessee.
Del Rio interrupted a sling-wearing Cena's address to the WWE Universe and threatened to embarrass The Champ in his hometown of Boston at Survivor Series - but only narrowly evaded an Attitude Adjustment when the 14-time world champion got physical.
Meanwhile, Big E Langston ripped the Intercontinental Title from Curtis Axel, flooring the son of "Mr Perfect" Curt Henning with the Big Ending to claim his maiden strap since joining WWE's main roster.
