Super Eagles holding midfieder Ogenyi Onazi bagged the man of the match award in the 2-0 victory over Ethiopia after putting up an impressive showing to ensure Nigeria qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Lazio man takes home a whopping $5,000 for working so hard to shield the Eagles back line and asisiting in the attack severally.
In another award, Eagles duo of Victor Moses and Victor Obinna Nsofor bagged $2,000 each for getting on the score sheet in the 2-0 victory over the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia in the final leg of the World Cup play-off at the U J Esuene stadium on Saturday 16 November 2013.
Victor Moses scored a 20th minute penalty, and Obinna Nsofor came off the bench to add a second via a vicious free kick with eight minutes left.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria secured their passage to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil via a 4-1 aggregate win over Ethiopia after triumphing 2-0 at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar on Saturday.
