English Premiership side, Hull City are not giving up on securing the services of Super Eagles and out-of-contract Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi.
English tabloid, The Daily Mail says Ameobi could be lining up alongside David Villa and Frank Lampard at New York City FC.
The striker 32 year old, is also wanted by Hull City and Sydney FC in Australia.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce hopes the promise of Premier League football will convince his fellow Geordie to stay in England.
Sone Aluko is another Nigerian striker that The Tigers are trying to hold onto, following his reported desire to play first team football next season.
