Adeleye Begs Keshi For Second Chance

Ergoteli defender Ayodele Adeleye has launched a passionate plea to be recalled back to the senior national team after being overlooked by Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi for the friendly against Mexico.

The Nigeria defender who has been shut out of the squad since featuring for the Eagles in the 2-0 win over Zambia in 2012 told Complete Sports that his wealth of experience will be useful to the team ahead of the Mundial in Brazil.

“I just need a chance just like other Nigerian players have in recent times,” the former Anzhi player told Complete Sports.

It would be recalled that coach Stephen Keshi handed Fortuna Düsseldorf defender Leon Balogun, 25 a late call up as a replacement for Norwich center back Joseph Yobo who suffered a knock in the English Premier League tie against Aston Villa last weekend.

The 26-year old lanky defender moved to Greek side Ergotelis on a five-month contract, with the option of another year after terminating his contract with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
