Balogun: I'm Recovering Fast

Fortuna Dusseldorf and one-cap Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is making steady progress in his race to be fit ahead of the FIFA World Cup taking place in Brazil, report Completesportsnigeria.com.

The former SV Werder Bremen and Hannover 96 player who was called up to replace Joseph Yobo in the international friendly match between Nigeria and Mexico, injured his foot after just 20 minutes.

Balogun disclosed on his twitter handle: “Finished cardio training for today. Next stop: therapy! Recovery in full progress.”

The Eagles are expected to play series of international friendly matches before jetting out to Brazil for the World Cup.

The reigning African champions are in group F alongside Argentina, Iran and debutants Bosnia-Herzegovina and will open their account in Curitiba against Iran.

They will travel to Cuiaba to face Bosnia- Herzegovina before rounding off their group games when they take on Argentina in Porto-Alegre.
