It takes a brave man to bet against a Jose Mourinho team at Stamford Bridge.
That brave man is Jonathan Akpoborie, perhaps the only pundit who called the Chelsea versus Atletico Madrid UEFA Champions League semi-final right.
The former Stuttgart and Super Eagles striker was so sure Atletico would go through that he boldly predicted in ‘AKPOBORIE’S VERDICT’ that Chelsea stood no chance. Even when Chelsea were going into the second leg with what looked like an advantage since the first leg in Madrid ended goalless.
“I predict an all-Spanish final,” the former striker and Complete Sports pundit said before the first semi-final.
He was partially proved right when Real Madrid destroyed Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in their return leg.
Atletico’s shock 3-1 win at Chelsea completed Akpoborie’s job and we give kudos to our own Octopus Jonny.
