Kanu: Eagles Should Work Hard For W/Cup

--Papilo says Eagles will retain AFCON title in Morocco
Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has posited that with hard work Super Eagles will excel at Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

Nigeria will make her fifth World Cup finals appearance during summer’s Mundial in Brazil with the former Arsenal striker insisting that Stephen Keshi’s troops can dazzle the World if they prepare well and work hard during the tournament.

“If you ask me, I’ll say yes, I’m an Ambassador of Football, so I can rightly say we’ll do well at the World Cup in Brazil but all the same, it’s not about saying it but doing it.

“We’ve to really work hard, people keep saying the coach is not yet set for it but I just don’t know why. I do know that by this time we’re supposed to be settled and make sure that these players are in good condition and ensure we do what we should do to ensure the team performs well at the World Cup.

“World Cup is not an easy tournament and as a result, they have to go there fully prepared, focused and ensure they work hard for success”, Kanu said during the official launching of The Ultimate Naija Soccer Fan TV Reality Show in Lagos.

The ex-international also spoke on the 2015 African Cup of Nations.

“The truth is that the Super Eagles are going to come out first in the group and qualify for the 2015 Nations Cup finals.

“It’s not only about the Super Eagles going to the 2015 Nations Cup but I believe that what happened in South Africa 2013 will repeat itself in Morocco.

“We’re back to the pinnacle of African football and we’re not going to drop just yet, we’re back to stay, we’re the African champions and we’re going to remain the champions”, the former Inter Milan said.
