Australia captain Clarke fined for broken arm taunt at Anderson

Australia captain Michael Clarke fined for broken arm taunt at England's James Anderson during opening Ashes Test

Australia captain Michael Clarke has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee for taunting England bowler
James Anderson during the first Ashes Test in Brisbane.
Clarke was heard telling Anderson to ‘get ready for a broken f****** arm’ moments before the home side wrapped up a crushing 381-run victory to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
He defended his sledging after the game, dismissing it as "banter", but the International Cricket Council opted to take action.
Clarke was found to have breached Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to 'using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International Match'.
Anderson and Clarke have a heated history and the England man branded the Aussie ‘paranoid’ in the build-up to this series.
