The Italian trainer feels the prolific attacker has proven to be a team-player, while he has voiced his satisfaction with Gareth Bale's start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo is not a selfish player among claims the Portugal international is too focused on his own performances.
The 28-year-old has been in sublime form so far this season - netting 17 goals in 14 appearances - and Ancelotti has hailed the prolific forward's attacking partnership with new signing Gareth Bale.
"Ronaldo’s a team player, not a selfish player. Before Gareth Bale came, people thought they’d have problems playing together, but there’s no problem," Ancelotti told The Times.
"They pass the ball to each other and have a good combination. Everyone is surprised at how well he’s played this season."
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach then went on to praise Ronaldo's technical skills and reiterated that he feels the Portuguese attacker is the best in the world.
"I’ve seen Ronaldo play a lot of times, of course, but when you’re up close every day his technical skills are unbelievable," he continued.
"He’s the best I’ve ever seen. He’s scored in every game in this period — 25 goals in 18 games — and he can score more."
Ancelotti also had his say on Bale and voiced his satisfaction with the way Bale has adapted to his new surroundings.
He added: "Bale has settled in very well, and we’re all very happy. To get used to a new country and culture is not easy. He had problems when he came because he did not have a pre-season and was not in condition."
Bale has so far scored five goals in 11 games in all competitions for Madrid.
