Amoo: Motivation Key To Eagles Success

Former Nigeria International, Fatai Amoo believes proper motivation would be key to Super Eagles success at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The newly appointed Stationary Stores coach also believe that quality preparation will go a long way in helping the team to excel at the FIFA mundial billed to hold next summer.

“I agree that experience also counts at the World Cup, but it does not ultimately define success. I just believe it’s one of those many prerequisites that can help a team to excel in a tournament of this magnitude,” says Amoo.

“I don’t think we have any course to begin clamouring for experienced players, those we clamoured for in the past how far did they take us in the tournament? Really, it is distracting for the coach to say that he should build his team only around experienced players rather than talking about quality preparation towards the World Cup.”

“Ä close look at our players, obviously majority of them have not participated in the tournament before and yet doing well in their respective clubs. So I ask, should we not go with them as a result of inexperience or if we go with them does that now mean we would not do well at the event?”

“In a situation like this, I believe motivating them should be a priority, because that is one of the things that can make the players to go extra miles and give their best."
