Eagles World Cup Camp Opens May 27

By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
Super Eagles 2014 World Cup preparation will kick off in England on May 27 on the eve of the friendly match with Scotland at Craven Cottage in London. Coach Stephen Keshi said the team is expected to assemble a day before the Scotland match so that they could have at least a training before the game.

"Most of the European leagues will round off in about four weeks from now and I expect all the players to take a short break and report to the camp in London from where the team will leave for USA for the World Cup camping," he stated. He allayed fears that time is not in his favour, and said there is nothing he can do about it, adding that he would work within the time limit and ensure the team do well in Brazil.

"We shall be ready for the World Cup after two weeks together. My prayer is for the players to be in good health and fit. Nigerians should expect the best from us," Keshi added.
