Elderson Tips Eagles To Shine In Brazil

--Says players must play as a unit at the 2014 World Cup

Nigeria international, Elderson Echiejile has again tipped African champions Nigeria to shine at Brazil 2014, but warned that the Super Eagles must play as a unit.

The reliable defender who was not in the squad for AS Monaco that won 3-1 at home against Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday also admits that they have to believe in themselves if they are to surpass previous achievements at the Mundial.

“I have never doubted our abilities as players and team. Eagles will do well in Brazil with unity of purpose and team work,” said the Monaco defender, who made his World Cup debut at the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

“We have to believe in ourselves as players and team and give our best in all our games.
“We are capable. And we also need the maximum support of Nigerians and their prayers.”

Sergio Romero is Monaco's second choice goalkeeper and Echiejile who is expected to come up against his Argentine club teammate also revealed he'll act as a spy to Eagles strikers in Brazil.

"He's top class but I'd be talking to our strikers in Brazil on how to get past him," Echiejile said.
The Eagles are drawn in Group F along with two-time champions Argentina, Bosnia- Herzegovina and Iran.
