Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has been shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year award by his English Championship side Middlesbrough.
The Nigerian international will compete with his fellow Chelsea loanee Nate Chalobah, Ben Gibson, Curtis Main and Luke Williams for the award in Boro's big End-of-Season Awards ceremony, to be held at the Riverside Stadium on the evening of Sunday May 4.
Omeruo who has chalked up ten appearances in the Championship is expected to be included in the Eagles provisional squad list for the World Cup in Brazil barring injury.
