Eintracht Frankfurt have announced that midfielder Sebastian Rode will join Bayern Munich at the end of the season on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been repeatedly linked with the Bavarians since rising to prominence during the 2012-13 Bundesliga season.
Indeed, Rode turned down the chance to extend his contract with Frankfurt last year and sporting director Bruno Hubner confirmed to Sky Sport HD on Thursday that the player had agreed to move to the Allianz Arena in the summer.
Frankfurt CEO Heribert Bruchhagen confirmed that the club had been aware of the former Germany Under-21 international's decision.
"I knew nine months ago," he told Franfkurter Rundschau.
