Nigeria football federation technical committee chairman Chris Green has backed the Home Eagles to go all the way and win the CHAN trophy and the accompanying N120m prize money on February 1.
Green who breezed into Cape Town on the eve of the team's last group game against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa revealed the NFF's plans for the team and the tournament.
“We have a plan and the plan is to take this team all the way to the final and of course win the trophy, we are not unconscious of the oppositions we have to surmount but this team is good enough for the CHAN title,” Green said.
The Home Eagles will play the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the first quarter-final of the championships on Saturday afternoon in Cape Town.
