Nigeria Sports Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi Thursday redeemed his 100,000 USD (about N16m) promise to the Super Eagles should they over-run Ghana Black Stars in the semi-final of the CHAN.
The Minister addressed the team Thursday morning at their President hotel, expressing delight in the team's performance.
"I've just given them the money", Abdullahi told Complete Sports afterwards .
"Its not about winning but about encouragement.
"The National Sports Commission, NSC will not say because they lost and decide to hold back the money.
"We feel it's a way of encouraging and motivating them," the minister said.
