Ugbade: Eagles'll Beat Morocco

--Golden Eaglets assistant coach confident of Home Eagles
Former Nigeria international, Nduka Ugbade has tipped the Super Eagles Team B to beat the Atlas Lions of Morocco in their quarter-final game of the CAF African Nations Championship on Saturday.

Ugabde who was a member of the Golden Eaglets coaching crew that won the U-17 FIFA World Cup last year in UAE, posited that the country’s record in the knockout stages of any competition gives them the edge.

“I think the game against Morocco shouldn’t be a big problem for Nigeria. They should be able to beat them at this level. And whenever Nigeria gets to the quarter-final of any competition, they are always strong and they now look much formidable and can get to the final of the competition.

“But my main problem is that we must not allow Morocco to have the kind of opportunity South Africa had against us, that is, allowing them to be putting their slick passes together which nearly resulted to goals for South Africa if not for the performance of Agbim and the defenders.
“They must be compact. If they are going on the offensive they must do it as a unit and also when coming back to defend, they must do it as a group.”

He went on to salute Coach Stephen Keshi for selecting former Eaglets goalkeeper Dele Alampasu for the tournament, stating that it will only impact on him positively.

“The inclusion of Dele in the team will only make him to grow up and get more matured. This will be a very good opportunity which Keshi has given to him which and I’m very happy about it.”
