CAF COMPETITIONS: KESHI NOT SURE OF PILLARS, ENYIMBA

Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Keshi has expressed fears that the country's representatives at the CAF competitions, Champions League may not do well.

Keshi, who made this disclosure said his fear for the clubs is based on the fact that the Nigeria Premier League has been on break for months now and that has made the clubs totally inactive.

The Eagles boss said the clubs participating at the continental championship will be match rusty and may not be in fine form to compete with the other clubs whose league season began in August competing regularly in their leagues.

"Nigerian league really need to align with the other countries. All the other countries that Nigeria will be competing with are in leagues. I feel bad that Kano Pillars, Enyimba, Bayelsa and Warri Wolves that are representing Nigeria will start at disadvantaged position against other clubs.

He said the authorities in charge of the leagues should endeavour that the season has a fixed time adding " it is either we follow the European season or the CAF season in order to align with other countries"
